What is your favorite part of being a writer?
I think every animal has a wealth of imagination just sitting in their brains and I think humans are ones that waste that potential over and over again for the absolute wrong reasons. I'd never be good at it. I don't have time. What if I fail? What if someone laughs at me? My favorite part of being a writer is knowing these limitations no longer hold me down. I no longer give a shit. I'm just happy.

Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?
I've heard negative and positive. I love them both. I'm a NEW writer. Which means there are mistakes in my books. If someone is taking the time to lend me wisdom and CONSTRUCTIVELY critique my stories, I love you too man! Thank you. If you like it, give me situations you liked explicitly so I can keep it in mind for the future. I love you too, Man! Thank you! If you're commenting to tear me down because you don't like it or it wasn't good enough for you and you are mean about it, I'm sorry; I hope whatever is not right in your life gets better so you don't have to spread so much hate around. But I love you too!

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
I have four short stories and one book published. I also have a completed manuscript finished with developmental editing. It's a new adult fiction book I hope will be out next year.

What does your family think of your writing?
I think I've always approached things a little differently than most people. This isn't surprising to my family and close friends. LOL. My books would not come as a shock to anyone in my inner circle. And those who love me are extremely supportive of me. I am very lucky.

What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I mostly read, read, read. I also spend time with my husband, my daughter, and my friends. I have amazing people around me. I love crafting stuff. I would rather be camping every weekend than doing anything else. Traveling alot... But honestly I'd be happy doing anything as long as my husband was with me.

Can you describe your writing space?
Right now, it's an ADHD nightmare. LMAO. We're renovating and my workspace is currently the dining room. So, I do most of my actually "writing" on the weekend when we're camping. I set up an office using a folding table and a comfy camp chair facing something pretty, sit for a few minutes, then it just starts coming.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I was in Mrs. Henderson's class during freshman year. She was such an encouraging lady. She made me feel like I could do anything I put my mind to. She was very empowering.

What is your typical day like when you're writing?
All writers know there are different "writing days." Sometimes you don't remember the day because you wake up with an idea, sit down, then blink, and it's 2 AM. You're halfway through a book, starving, and have to pee so bad you're cramping. Then you have days where linking scenes of a book becomes rocket science, and you want to pull out your hair. Then there are days when you know you have to start erasing shit to make it better, but it hurts because you worked so hard on it. It's definitely rewarding, challenging, and punishing.

How do you relax?
We just finished the remodel on our main bath. FYI, Matt Frohreich for general or specialized contracting! And we got an Empava whirlpool tub with chromotherapy lights. This tub is magical. Add in a shit ton of cannabis, and I'm melted butter.

What is your favorite book and why?
Art of War by Sun Tzu. Every word written in this book is valid not only on how to win but also on how to avoid a confrontation. If you genuinely ingest the lessons in this book, you can't help but become a better person.

What book/s are you reading at present?
Medicare for Dummies, You Like it Dark by Stephen King and Story Genius by Lisa Cron
